Our Mission

Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County & Treasure Coast, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with Sickle Cell Disease/Trait and members of their family, and educate the public about this devastating hereditary blood disorder. Targeted communities are educated on preventing Black babies from dying.

Vision
Sickle Cell Foundation Foundation of Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast, Inc. (SCF) is a voluntary health organization that has been in existence since 1973. Incorporation papers were filed with the Secretary of State in December 1979 and incorporation status was awarded March 4, 1980. The organization later received its 501 (c)(3) designation from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. SCF provides services to a 5-county area and is the only entity covering Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties that is dedicated to serving persons affected by Sickle Cell.
