Community Voice

Our Community Voice is an innovative, grassroots program that uses community volunteers in targeted zip codes to reduce black infant mortality rates through health education.

The program's goal is to educate residents on behaviors that promote healthy births.

After being trained through a series of five classes taught by Community Voice Lay Health Advisors, new participants are asked to share the information with family and friends, especially those of child-bearing age. By doing so, many people in the community become knowledgeable about healthy living and subsequently help reduce the number of black infant deaths.
