Jordan A. Riley Sickle Cell Awareness Walk

The Jordan A. Riley Sickle Cell Awareness Walk is named in memory of an extraordinary young man who was the first Sickle Cell Foundation Walkathon Poster Child in 2004. His life, though brief, left an lasting impression. He was a true warrior – resilient, brave, and determined to live life to the fullest despite the pain he quietly endured. He was known for his warm loving smile and the kindness he extended to everyone he knew and met. Jordan lost his battle with Sickle Cell Disease and passed away at 25 years old, October 2024 but his courage, strength, and determination continue to inspire all who knew him. The Walk is more than a tribute; it is a call to action. By supporting this event, you help raise awareness and provide support to families affected by Sickle Cell Disease – carrying forward the legacy of Jordan A. Riley, whose life reminds us of the power of hope, love, and resilience.

Come join us for the Jordan A. Riley Sickle Cell Awareness Walk at Gaines Park! Let's raise awareness and support for those affected by sickle cell disease. Lace up your sneakers, bring your friends and family, and let's walk together for a great cause. See you there!
