Monday, September 28, 2015

West Palm Beach - Property Appraiser Gary R. Nikolits, CFA, presented $3,655 Monday, Sept. 28, to the Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast for its 2015 Sickle Cell Awareness campaign.
Chief Executive Officer Shalonda Warren accepted the donation on behalf of the Sickle Cell Foundation. "We are very grateful to the Property Appraiser's continued support of our mission," said Warren.

This is the 11th year the Property Appraiser's Office has been associated with the Sickle Cell Foundation in support of its mission to provide services to victims of sickle cell and their families. Employees of the Property Appraiser's Office raise money through pledges and other events for the Awareness Walk, which was held Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Wells Recreation Center in Riviera Beach. An employee committee produces the fund-raising events.

The Sickle Cell walk is one of four health care agencies our employees sponsor each year. The others are the Heart Walk for the American Heart Association, March for Babies for the March of Dimes and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for the American Cancer Society.
